Vayve Mobility has officially launched India’s first solar-powered car, the Eva, at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, with an introductory price of ₹3.25 lakh (ex-showroom). The Eva is designed to cater to urban commuters, offering a range of 250 km on a single charge and a top speed of 70 km/h.
Innovative Solar Technology
Equipped with a flexible solar panel on its roof, the Eva can gain an additional 10 km of range daily through solar energy. This innovative vehicle is available in three variants: Nova, Stella, and Vega, with options for battery subscription or outright purchase. The battery subscription model allows buyers to access the vehicle at a lower initial cost, while purchasing it with the battery raises the price to ₹3.99 lakh.

Cost-Effective Urban Mobility
The Eva boasts an impressive operational cost of just ₹0.50 per kilometer, making it a cost-effective alternative to traditional petrol vehicles. Vayve aims to position the Eva as a sustainable second car for families, addressing urban mobility needs while promoting eco-friendliness.
Future Deliveries and Customer Benefits
The company anticipates that deliveries will begin in 2026 for the first 25,000 customers who will also receive additional perks such as extended warranties. Nilesh Bajaj, CEO of Vayve Mobility, emphasized that the Eva represents a significant step toward sustainable urban transport solutions in India.
The Vayve Eva features a minimalist design with dual digital displays and safety features like airbags and seatbelts. It includes a 14 kWh battery pack that supports fast charging options and provides an eco-friendly driving experience.
