Airtel subscribers in for a surprise as recharge plans set to witness price hike soon

Airtel is the second largest telecom company in India, and its tariff plans are going to become expensive in India soon. Airtel Chairman Sunil Mittal gave this information during a recent interview. He said that telecom rates will soon be increased in India. 
However, Mittal has not yet mentioned any date as to when this increase will be seen in the plan. However, My Smart Price said in its report that this price hike may happen after July.

Preparations are being made to increase ARPU 

The aim of the telecom company is to increase the average revenue per user (ARPU) from Rs 208 crore to Rs 300 crore in the coming months. Airtel is continuously working to increase 5G service coverage. 

No major changes since 2021 

In fact, there has been no major change in prices in the Indian telecom sector since December 2021. Since the introduction of 4G in the country, a cycle of increasing tariffs every 2–3 years has started. 
There are three big players in the Indian telecom sector, namely Jio, Airtel and Vi. Although BSNL can also be included in this, it is not in four cities. MTNL works there. 

Will Jio and Vi recharge be expensive? 

In such a situation, the question arises whether Jio and Vi can also make their recharge plans expensive. In fact, if every company increases the prices of its plans, then other companies will also increase the prices after that. However, till now, the companies have not made any official announcements regarding this.
