Spanish woman in Jharkhand Reports Alleged Gang Rape, Suspects apprehended

A case of gang rape involving a 30-year-old woman who had come to visit India from Spain has come to light. Police have detained 4 accused in the case, while the search for others is going on. The incident took place in the Dumka district of Jharkhand. According to Hansdiha police, the victim, the Spanish woman, had herself reached the Community Health Centre in a delirious state after the incident. After receiving information from the hospital and the complaint of the victim, the police registered the case and started an investigation.
According to the Hansdiha police of Dumka district, the victim has come on a bike tour to India with her husband. The victim reached India with her husband via Bangladesh. On Friday evening, the woman was resting with her husband in a deserted area of Kurumahat. During this period, 8 to 10 accused committed the crime. According to the complaint of the victim, the accused also beat up her husband when he protested during the incident. After the incident, she herself reached the community health centre by bike and also informed the police. At present, the woman is admitted to the hospital.
Spanish couple was going to Bhagalpur
According to the information, the Spanish couple was going towards Bhagalpur via Dumka. After this, he had to go to Nepal via Bihar. On the other hand, the police investigating the case said that some clothes have been recovered from the incident site. A gang rape of a Spanish woman in a hospital has been confirmed. Some people have also been detained in this case. Soon, all the accused will be arrested.
BJP targeted Champai government
The Jharkhand BJP has targeted the Champai government regarding the incident. A BJP MP from Godda, Nishikant Dubey, said that a tragic incident of rape of a female traveller from Spain has taken place in the Hansdiha police station area of my Lok Sabha Godda. The JMM and Congress governments have posted police officers in Santhal Pargana without training. This has given rise to murder, robbery and rape in the area in the last 4 years. The tribal population is continuously decreasing. There is a need to immediately change the police administration of the entire Santhal Pargana.
At the same time, Jharkhand BJP Chief Babulal Marandi said that, as a result of Jharkhand's collapsed law and order situation, the incident of gang rape of a Spanish woman in Godda has tarnished the reputation of the state even on the international stage. He said that the ineffective government of JMM-Congress is not concerned with the honour and reputation of the 3.5 crore people of Jharkhand, they are only concerned with looting and filling the coffers of their families. Tagging Chief Minister Champai Soren on X, he took strict action and demanded strict punishment for the culprits. He also said, Do not put the national and international reputation of your sisters, daughters and the state at stake for the sake of making 'Soren Part-2'.
