Bihar tragedy: 9 catering workers killed as truck strikes auto in Lakhisarai

A major accident took place in Lakhisarai late on Tuesday night. A truck coming from the wrong side hit an auto. Nine people traveling in the auto died in the accident, while many others were injured. The incident is being reported from the Ramgarh Chowk police station area. The police reached the spot after receiving information about the accident and announced an investigation. At present, the police are busy searching for the truck that ran away after causing the accident.

All the deceased victims of the accident were residents of Jamalpur village in Munger district. According to reports, about 14 people from Munger district who worked in catering at Sikandra in Lakhisarai, were going to the railway station by auto at around 1.30 in the night. Meanwhile, a truck coming from the wrong side hit the auto near Jhalauna village. Police admitted 5 people injured in the accident to Sadar Hospital, where, seeing that their condition was serious, they were referred to Patna PMCH.

Causality and affect! 

It is being told that after the collision with the truck, 8 people traveling in the auto died on the spot, while the auto driver died during treatment at Sadar Hospital. Inspector Amit Kumar, who reached the spot after receiving information about the accident, said that 8 deceased were residents of Munger, while the auto driver was a resident of Lakhisarai. He said that the police have taken possession of the body and started an investigation.

According to Inspector Amit Kumar, after the accident, there was an outcry at the spot, after which the local people informed the police. When the police reached the spot, 8 people were dead, while others were injured. All the people were taken to Sadar Hospital with the help of local people, where the auto driver died. At present, the injured and the dead have not been identified.
