Team India's best batsman, Shreyas Iyer, is currently out of the England Test series. After Iyer was out of the team, his domestic Ranji team in Mumbai asked him to play for the team. But Iyer replied that he had a back strain. After which, information is now being received that Iyer will be seen playing in the semi-finals on March 2.

According to reports, Shreyas Iyer is now completely fit. He is now ready to play for the Mumbai Cricket Association. Therefore, he will be seen playing in the semi-final match of the Ranji Trophy to be held between Mumbai and Tamil Nadu on March 2.

Iyer was out of England series for this reason

Till now, Iyer has informed the Mumbai Cricket Association that he has suffered a back strain, due to which he will not be able to play in the quarter-final match. However, the fitness expert of the National Cricket Academy, Bangalore, had declared him fit to play. He was seen playing in the first two matches of the India-England Test series. But due to his poor performance, he was rested by the team management. He could not score a single half-century in any innings of the 2 Tests.

BCCI had shown strictness

BCCI Secretary Jai Shah had given a warning to all the players regarding domestic cricket. He had said that if the players included in the central contract are fit and are not part of the national team, then they will have to play domestic cricket under any circumstances. If he does not play, then action will be taken against him.
