New Delhi: Why did Sachin Tendulkar not get angry on the field? Among the players who generally came to the world's attention with their aggressive game, Sachin was the one who surprised everyone with his calm attitude.

Talking about this aspect in the Leadership Summit of Hindustan Times, Sachin expressed 'Me not getting angry on the field was a well thought out strategy.' Sachin conveyed 'It is in my hands to decide when to be aggressive, but I have never been aggressive to take revenge.'

On his aggressive attitude against Glenn McGrath, Sachin said that it was a well-thought-out strategy. 'I talked to 'Grandma' about McGrath. Let me tell you that sometimes I used to call Dada (Sourav Ganguly) Dadi as well. So I talked to him and we decided that we have to trouble him a little bit mentally so that he bowls a different ball. That's why I said such things to Glenn at that time which I cannot even tell here. Let us tell you that during the Champions Trophy of 2000, there was some heated argument on the field between Australian bowler McGrath and Sachin. On a question related to this, Sachin revealed this secret.

When Sachin was asked which bowler he used to get scared after seeing, he took the name of Hansie Cronje of South Africa. Regarding Jacques Kallis of the same team, he said that he found it quite interesting that he kept looking at the grass before throwing the ball. Sachin said, that when Kallis used to look at the grass, we used to say that the day Kallis came to know in which direction the blade of grass was going, we would stand in the field the whole day.

Sachin took the name of Virender Sehwag when asked which player he enjoyed watching while standing at the non-striker's end. He said that watching Sehwag keep batting is like a roller coaster ride. You keep thinking that you don't know what is going to come next. Sachin did not even let the question about his favorite non-cricket player be completed and immediately took the name of tennis player Roger Federer.

On whether the Test cricket format is coming to an end, Sachin said that Test cricket is not dying, people's thinking is changing. With the advent of T-20 and technology, people's interests have changed. Tendulkar said, 'I have grown up watching Test cricket. Today's generation watches T-20, but now there is not much rivalry left between the teams. On people's interest in Test, Sachin said that to keep the audience engaged, there must be an equal competition between the ball and bat in Test cricket.
