Out of action since ODI World Cup 2023
Mohammed Shami has been away from the field since the 2023 ODI World Cup. On the advice of experts, Shami had earlier taken injections to become fit, but when he did not feel comfortable, he finally had to undergo surgery.
Big-blow for Gujarat Titans
Shami will not play in the IPL 2024 due to ankle surgery. This will be a big blow for the Gujarat Titans. In IPL 2023, Shami took a total of 28 wickets in 17 matches.
Now he may be out of the T20 World Cup as well!
It is believed that Shami will take time to get fit. In such a situation, he will not be able to be a part of the T20 World Cup to be held in June.
