Unexpected Exit for Abhishek Nayar
Despite India winning the Champions Trophy, the BCCI has dismissed Abhishek Nayar just eight months after his appointment. Known to be close to Gautam Gambhir, Nayar’s sudden removal has raised many eyebrows, suggesting internal differences may have played a role.
No Immediate Replacement for Coaches
According to sources, no new appointments will be made immediately for the assistant or fielding coach roles. With Sitanshu Kotak already serving as the batting coach, Ryan ten Doeschate is anticipated to take on the added responsibility of fielding coach in addition to his current role as assistant coach.

Unlike the coaching positions, BCCI may soon appoint a new trainer to replace Soham Desai.Adrian Le Roux, currently associated with Punjab Kings in IPL 2025, is a strong contender. He has prior experience working with Kolkata Knight Riders and could bring valuable expertise to the team.
