In a deeply disturbing incident from Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh, a police constable has been accused of harassing his wife by using a fake Instagram ID. The constable, suspicious of his wife's character, resorted to creating the account to send obscene messages aimed at defaming and humiliating her. The shocking revelation came to light after the woman lodged a formal complaint with the police, prompting an investigation and action against the accused.
Fake Instagram ID Sparks Harassment
The woman approached the Cyber Police Station in Hardoi on June 21, 2024, to report persistent vulgar messages from an Instagram account operating under the alias "Gaurav Kumar." The messages included lewd comments such as, "Bhabhi ji, you are very hot," and repeated flirtatious attempts. Despite ignoring the messages and eventually blocking the account, the harassment continued as the perpetrator created another profile to pursue his actions.
"I don't know this person and have never responded to these messages," the woman said in her complaint. She emphasized her growing distress and sought immediate intervention.
Shocking Twist: Husband Identified as Culprit
The investigation revealed a startling twist—the Instagram account was traced back to Rakesh Kumar, the complainant’s husband, who serves as a constable at Rae Bareli Police Line. The woman disclosed that she and her husband were already involved in a marital dispute. She alleged that he used the fake account as a means to tarnish her reputation and publicly humiliate her.
