Heart attack cases reported previously

Heart attacks are responsible for around 300 million deaths globally, of which 40 percent are reported in India. The worrisome rise in heart attacks among young people in India can be attributed to a combination of genetic predispositions, poor food habits, increasing stress, and lifestyle changes. This trend has been greatly influenced by sedentary lifestyles, the rise of fast food, smoking, and alcohol intake.

A lack of knowledge and preventative actions also makes the problem worse. According to data, Indians are more likely than Westerners to get heart disease at a far younger age. Promoting healthy lifestyles, early health screenings, public awareness campaigns, and governmental initiatives to lower risk factors and boost physical activity are all necessary to address this.

Recently, a Badshapur MLA had also witnessed a heart attack after voting that led to his death. Also, a 73-year-old man, Balwinder Singh Chhabra, died of a cardiac arrest while dancing at a yoga event in Indore. In another case, two government servants on poll duty in Karnataka had also lost their lives to sudden heart attacks.
