An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.6 struck the Andaman Sea on April 10, 2022, at 4:13 PM IST. The National Center for Seismology (NCS) reported that the quake's epicenter was located 70 kilometers east-northeast of Campbell Bay in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, at a depth of 10 kilometers.

According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), an earthquake of magnitude 4.6 occurred in the Andaman Sea on April 10, 2022, at 4:13 PM IST. The quake's epicenter was located at latitude 7.24°N and longitude 94.50°E, approximately 70 kilometers east-northeast of Campbell Bay in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The earthquake originated at a depth of 10 kilometers beneath the seabed.

Earlier that day, at 7:02 AM IST, the region experienced another seismic event with a magnitude of 4.9, located 70 kilometers northeast of Campbell Bay.The Andaman and Nicobar Islands are situated in a seismically active zone due to the interaction between the Indian and Burmese tectonic plates.
