Maharashtra News: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s residence, Galaxy Apartments in Bandra, has seen an unprecedented increase in security following threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and the recent murder of politician Baba Siddique. To prevent any possible harm to the actor, the Mumbai Police has deployed heavy security measures around the building, with over 60 plainclothed officers patrolling the area 24/7.

Advanced surveillance with AI and facial recognition

In addition to the significant police presence, AI-enabled CCTV cameras with facial recognition capabilities have been installed. These cameras can detect recurring individuals who pass by more than three times, raising suspicion of potential surveillance or reconnaissance. The live feed from these cameras is monitored at a dedicated command center round the clock to ensure Salman’s safety.

Police presence resembles a barrack

The area around Galaxy Apartments now resembles a police camp, with security checkpoints at multiple locations and officers stationed at various strategic points. The Protection Branch and Bandra Police are actively coordinating the security effort. Uniformed officers, including female police personnel, are present, ensuring thorough screening of visitors. No unauthorized individuals or fans are permitted near the building, with all identities being checked and recorded.

Salman’s Y-plus security cover

Salman Khan continues to receive Y-plus security, which includes a team of armed police officers who travel with him. His movements are carefully coordinated with local police stations, ensuring his safety during any outings. The security measures extend beyond Galaxy Apartments to his Panvel farmhouse, where police blockades and CCTV surveillance are also in place.
