Satyam Raghuvanshi under investigation: Allegations of sexual assault confirmed
Madhya Pradesh: Madhya Pradesh teacher has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting multiple students, with families pressing charges and calling for support for victims.
Madhya Pradesh: In a disturbing incident from Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh, a 25-year-old school teacher, Satyam Raghuvanshi, has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting at least five students. The families of these children have come forward to press charges against him, revealing a pattern of abuse that has left the community in shock.
Abuse During Tuition Classes
Raghuvanshi, who taught social science at a private school and provided private tuition to students from classes 1 to 8, reportedly used his position of trust to exploit the children. After school hours, he would allegedly stop students after tuition classes and sexually assault them, threatening dire consequences if they spoke out.
Parents Confront the Truth
The situation escalated when parents discovered the allegations and confronted their children. Five students confirmed the abuse, leading parents to file a complaint with the police. A medical examination conducted later confirmed signs of sexual assault, prompting immediate action from law enforcement.
Arrest and Legal Proceedings
Raghuvanshi has been arrested under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and is currently being interrogated by the police. As investigations continue, authorities are concerned that there may be more victims, with some parents estimating that around 20 children may have been affected but have not yet come forward due to fear and social stigma.
Parents are now advocating for proper counseling and support for the affected children. They believe that many more victims exist who are too afraid to speak out. Some reports suggest that Raghuvanshi may have filmed some of the assaults, raising further concerns about the extent of his actions.
Ongoing Investigation
Vidisha Superintendent of Police Rohit Keshwani confirmed that investigators are working diligently to locate any potential video evidence and are committed to ensuring justice for the victims. As of now, only five families have officially filed complaints, but authorities are urging others to come forward.
