PM Modi unveils MP Global Investor Summit 2025, addresses business leaders

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the two-day "Invest Madhya Pradesh – Global Investors Summit 2025" in Bhopal on February 24, 2025. In his address, he highlighted Madhya Pradesh's transformation over the past two decades, noting its evolution from a state once plagued by infrastructure challenges to a leading investment destination in India.

He emphasized that Madhya Pradesh now stands among the top states for investment in the country. 
PM Modi underscored the state's significant strides in the electric vehicle (EV) sector, mentioning that by January 2025, over two lakh electric vehicles had been registered in Madhya Pradesh, reflecting a growth of approximately 90%. This surge positions the state as a prominent hub in India's EV revolution. 

Infrastructure Development

Highlighting the state's infrastructure development, the Prime Minister pointed out that Madhya Pradesh boasts a road network exceeding five lakh kilometers. He also noted the 100% electrification of the state's rail network, with modernization efforts exemplified by the transformation of Bhopal's Rani Kamlapati Railway Station. In the realm of energy, PM Modi stated that Madhya Pradesh has become a power-surplus state with a generation capacity of around 31,000 MW, of which 30% is derived from clean energy sources.

Floating Solar Plant 

He highlighted significant projects like the Rewa Solar Park and the recently inaugurated floating solar plant in Omkareshwar as testaments to the state's commitment to renewable energy. The Prime Minister also introduced over 18 new policies by the Madhya Pradesh government, aimed at attracting substantial investments across sectors such as industrial development, food processing, export promotion, MSMEs, startups, semiconductors, drones, tourism, and film production.

Modi expressed confidence in Madhya Pradesh's potential to rank among India's top five states in terms of GDP, attributing this potential to the state's abundant resources, robust infrastructure, and proactive governance.Global Investors Summit 2025 serves as a platform to showcase Madhya Pradesh's industrial progress and investment opportunities, drawing participation from entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and delegates from over 50 countries.
