PM Modi to launch Rs 12,000 crore development initiatives in Delhi today
New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi will inaugurate various development projects worth over ₹12,000 crore in Delhi on Sunday, including a section of the Namo Bharat corridor and enhancements to the Delhi Metro system.
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for several significant development projects in Delhi on Sunday, totaling over ₹12,000 crore. This initiative includes the launch of a section of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Namo Bharat corridor, marking the introduction of a rapid transit system in the national capital.
Major Inaugurations
The Prime Minister will commence the day by inaugurating a 13 km stretch of the corridor between Sahibabad (Ghaziabad) and New Ashok Nagar (Delhi), a project valued at approximately ₹4,600 crore. At 11:15 AM, he will embark on a ride aboard a Namo Bharat train from Sahibabad to New Ashok Nagar, as confirmed by a release from the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).
In addition to this, PM Modi will also unveil a 2.8 km stretch of the Delhi Metro Phase-IV, connecting Janakpuri to Krishna Park, with an investment of around ₹1,200 crore. This inaugural stretch will significantly benefit residents in West Delhi areas such as Krishna Park, Vikaspuri, and Janakpuri.
Future Developments
The foundation stone laying ceremony will include several notable projects. Among these is the 26.5 km Rithala-Kundli section of the Delhi Metro, also part of Phase-IV, which aims to enhance connectivity between Delhi and Nathupur (Kundli) in Haryana.
This ambitious project is estimated to cost around ₹6,230 crore.Additionally, a new state-of-the-art building for the Central Ayurveda Research Institute (CARI) will be established in Rohini at an investment of approximately ₹185 crore. This facility is designed to offer advanced healthcare and medicine infrastructure.
Integrated Healthcare Facilities
The CARI building will comprise multiple essential components, including an Administrative Block, an Outpatient Department (OPD) Block, an Inpatient Department (IPD) Block, and a dedicated Treatment Block. This integrated setup aims to provide a seamless healthcare experience for both patients and researchers.
These projects reflect a significant investment in infrastructure and healthcare within Delhi, promising to enhance connectivity and improve medical services for its residents.
