Prime Minister Narendra Modi has kick-started a significant three-day visit to Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, and Assam, packed with high-profile inaugurations, investment summits, and cultural festivities. The tour, commencing February 23, 2025, focuses on economic development, infrastructure growth, and regional empowerment.

Madhya Pradesh: Boosting healthcare and investments

PM Modi’s visit to Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh, marks a milestone in the state’s medical and research sector as he lays the foundation stone for the Bageshwar Dham Medical and Science Research Institute. This state-of-the-art institute aims to transform healthcare and scientific research in central India.

Later, in Bhopal, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the Global Investors Summit, inviting national and international investors to explore opportunities in pharmaceuticals, logistics, transport, and MSMEs. The summit is expected to attract multi-billion-dollar investments, positioning Madhya Pradesh as a global industrial hub.

Bihar: Farmers and dairy sector in focus

On February 24, PM Modi will visit Bhagalpur, Bihar, to disburse the 19th installment of the PM KISAN scheme, benefiting millions of farmers with direct financial aid. This initiative reinforces the government's commitment to strengthening the agricultural sector.

In Motihari, he will inaugurate the Centre of Excellence for Indigenous Breeds, promoting advanced dairy farming and cattle rearing techniques. Additionally, a new milk processing plant in Barauni will be launched, creating an organized market for over three lakh dairy farmers, boosting their incomes and expanding Bihar’s dairy industry.

Assam: Cultural grandeur and investment push

PM Modi’s final leg of the tour will take him to Guwahati, Assam, where he will witness the grand ‘Jhumoir Binandini’ cultural festival, featuring 8,000 performers showcasing Assam’s traditional Jhumoir dance. This event celebrates the state’s vibrant cultural identity and unity.

Further, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment and Infrastructure Summit, aimed at accelerating industrial growth in the northeastern region. The summit will focus on expanding transport networks, IT hubs, and manufacturing industries, making Assam a crucial economic powerhouse.
