J-K News: On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a firm stand against the Congress-National Conference alliance after the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly passed a resolution advocating for the reinstatement of Article 370. Speaking at a rally in Dhule, Maharashtra, Modi claimed the alliance’s actions were part of a “conspiracy against the union territory.” He said, “As soon as Congress and INDI alliance got the chance to form a government in Jammu and Kashmir, they started with their conspiracies against Kashmir… Two days ago, they passed a resolution in the J&K legislative assembly to restore Article 370.”

The resolution, which opposes the revocation of Article 370, was passed on Wednesday via a voice vote. BJP MLAs strongly opposed the motion but faced significant pushback in the assembly.

BJP Legislators Ejected from Assembly for Opposition

Prime Minister Modi expressed outrage at the treatment of BJP members in the J&K Assembly, stating that they were forcibly removed for challenging the resolution. He described a scene where “banners were shown in the Jammu and Kashmir parliament in support of Article 370,” and alleged that the Congress alliance worked aggressively to pass the resolution to reinstate the article. “The entire country will have to understand the truth of Congress and its alliance,” Modi asserted, emphasizing that the nation will not accept the resolution on Article 370.

Modi’s Firm Stance: “No Power Can Bring Back Article 370”

Addressing his first rally in Maharashtra for the upcoming November 20 assembly elections, Modi assured that as long as he was in power, Congress would not be able to influence Kashmir’s status. “Till Modi is there, Congress won’t be able to do anything in Kashmir. Only Bhim Rao Ambedkar's Constitution will run there. No power can bring back 370,” he proclaimed, highlighting his commitment to upholding Dr. Ambedkar’s vision.

Modi criticized the alliance for allegedly undermining Dalit and tribal rights, suggesting they aimed to revoke the Constitution of Dr. Ambedkar and restore Article 370. He accused them of conspiring against marginalized communities, including Dalits, backward classes, and tribals.

Modi Reaffirms Commitment to Dr. Ambedkar’s Vision for Kashmir

At another event in Nashik, Modi condemned Congress and its allies for allegedly wanting to eliminate Babasaheb Ambedkar’s Constitution from Jammu and Kashmir. He noted the incident in the J&K Assembly, where Congress and allies allegedly advocated for the reimplementation of Article 370. “By abrogating Article 370, I implemented the Constitution of Dr. Ambedkar in Kashmir. This was my biggest tribute to the Babasaheb Ambedkar,” Modi affirmed, underscoring the importance of his decision to revoke Article 370.

The push for restoring Article 370, according to Modi, is a part of the National Conference’s election promises in Jammu and Kashmir. The debate around the article’s reinstatement has intensified tensions, as Modi accuses the Congress-led alliance of disrespecting Ambedkar’s legacy and jeopardizing the rights of marginalized communities in the region.
