PM Modi and deputy PM joined, Chief Justice of Mauritius, Speaker of the National Assembly, Leader of the Opposition, Foreign Minister, Cabinet Secretary, Chairperson of Grand Port District Council and numerous others. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday( March 11, 2025) entered a conventional hello upon his appearance in Mauritius where he'll attend the islet nation’s public day fests as the principal guest and hold meetings with the country’s top leadership.

Statement by the member of the Indian Diaspora On PM Modi's visit

Sharad Barnwal, a member of the Indian diaspora, said" We're all veritably agitated. We've gathered then since morning. The fellowship between India and Mauritius has always been great, and after this visit of PM Modi, the relationship will get stronger." Dr Kadambini Acharya, Director, Cultural Centre of the High Commissioner of India to Mauritius, said" We've gathered then to drink M Modi. We've been preparing to drink PM Modi for the last 1 month. We'll be veritably happy to meet and drink him." About PM Modi's Visit To Mauritius Prime Minister Narendra Modi departed for Mauritius late Monday night on a two- day State visit. He'll attend the National Day fests as the Chief Guest on March 12.

Statement by the Ministry of External Affairs

The Ministry of External Affairs stated that the visit is towards strengthening" India- Mauritus enduring ties." " Strengthening India- Mauritus enduring ties! PM@narendramodi has embarked on a 2- day State visit to Port Louis, Mauritius. PM will share as the Chief Guest at Mauritius' National Day fests & also meet Mauritian leadership & dignitaries," MEA prophet Randhir Jaiswal stated in a post on X. In his departure statement on Monday, PM Modi said that he looks forward to the occasion to engage with the Mauritius leadership during his visit to elevate bilateral cooperation and strengthen fellowship for security and development in the Indian Ocean Region. He called Mauritius a" close maritime neighbour, crucial mate in the Indian Ocean and a gateway to the African mainland."

Two- day State Visit to Mauritius

PM Modi said that at the assignation of my friend, Prime Minister Dr. Navinchandra Ramgoolam, I'm embarking on a two- day State Visit to Mauritius to share in the fests of the 57th National Day of Mauritius. We're connected by history, terrain and culture. Deep collective trust, a participated belief in the values of republic, and festivity of our diversity are our strengths," he said." The close and literal people- to- people connect is a source of participated pride. We've made significant strides in the once ten times with people- centric enterprise," he added.

He expressed confidence that the visit would make on the foundations of the history and open a new and bright chapter in the India- Mauritius relationship." I look forward to the occasion to engage the Mauritius leadership to elevate our cooperation in all its angles and strength our enduring fellowship for the progress and substance of our peoples, as well as for security and development in the Indian Ocean Region, as part of their Vision SAGAR.
