Pakistan Dares Again: Fires on LoC for 4th Night, India Responds with Force
For the fourth consecutive night, Pakistan violated the ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) with unprovoked firing in the Poonch and Rajouri sectors on April 27, 2025, escalating tensions amid the fallout from the Pahalgam terror attack.

Even after the Pahalgam terror attack, Pakistan's audacity continues. The Pakistani army once again opened unprovoked firing on the LoC. The Indian Army said that on the night of 27-28 April 2025, Pakistani Army posts started firing without any provocation across the Line of Control in Kupwara and Poonch districts. Indian soldiers responded effectively.
Unprovoked firing on LoC
Ever since the Pahalgam attack, Pakistan has been continuously firing on the LoC. This is the fourth time it has fired on the border without provocation. Firing is being done by Pakistan late at night. But India has given a befitting reply every time. Pakistan has become so agitated by India's strict measures that it is venting its anger by firing.
Tension increased on LOC
The tension on the LoC has reached a four-year high. The 2021 ceasefire had lasted most of the time until the Pahalgam attack. But after seeing India's response after the Pahalgam attack, the Pakistan Army has become so furious that it has broken the peace prevailing here. Firing has started in most parts of the 740 km long border. The Indian Army is also giving a befitting reply to this and is fully alert.
India's tough decisions
After the Pahalgam terror attack, the Indian government has taken several decisions including closing the border at Attari, suspending the SAARC visa exemption scheme for Pakistani citizens, giving them 40 hours to return to their country and reducing the number of officials in the High Commissions of both sides. India has also suspended the Indus Water Treaty signed in 1960 in the wake of the Pahalgam attack. Pakistan has also threatened war over this.
