A 55-year-old computer engineering graduate, Noor-ul-lah Haider, allegedly killed his 42-year-old wife, Asma Khan, using a hammer inside their Sector 15 residence in Noida. The motivation behind the brutal killing was the suspicion of his wife's adultery. The two had been involved in a fight for the past few days, with Asma having called her sister on Friday morning to appeal to her to intervene. Despite efforts by family members to calm them down, the situation got out of hand, leading to the horrific act.
Husband surrenders to police
Haider, who walked over 2 km to Sector 20 police station to turn himself in and plead guilty to the offence, is reported to have shown no sense of guilt towards what he committed.
