Nagpur Visit: PM Modi pays homage to RSS founder, Babasaheb Ambedkar
Memorials of Hedgewar and M S Golwalkar, the second Sarsanghchalak of RSS, are located at the Dr Hedgewar Smruti Mandir in the city's Reshimbagh locality.

Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be arriving in Nagpur on Sunday, where he will pay his respects at RSS founder Dr K B Hedgewar's memorial and at Deekshabhoomi to Dr B R Ambedkar.
PM Modi’s Tribute Visit
The Prime Minister's visit coincides with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh's event to celebrate the Gudi Padwa festival. PM Modi will go to Smruti Mandir and pay respects to the RSS founding fathers, a government release stated. Hedgewar's and M S Golwalkar's second Sarsanghchalak of the RSS memorials are at the Dr Hedgewar Smruti Mandir in Reshimbagh area of the city. He will also pay respects to Dr B R Ambedkar at Deekshabhoomi, where the deceased leader converted to Buddhism and thousands of his followers joined him in 1956.
Historic Homage
According to the release, the foundation stone of Madhav Netralaya Premium Centre, a new extension building of Madhav Netralaya Eye Institute and Research Centre, will be laid by the Prime Minister. Set up in 2014, it is a super-speciality ophthalmic care centre par excellence. The institute was instituted in memory of Golwalkar. The centre will have a 250-bed hospital, 14 OPDs, and 14 modular operation theatres to offer low-cost and world-class eye care services to the masses. PM Modi will also go to the Solar Defence and Aerospace Limited's ammunition plant and open the new constructed 1250m long and 25m wide Unarmed Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) airstrip and the live munition and warhead test range to test the Loitering Munition and other guided ammunition.
