Murshidabad Crisis: BJP Claims Hindus Forced to Flee Due to Religious Violence
A deepening crisis in West Bengal’s Murshidabad has sparked alarm as BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari alleges that Hindus are being forced to migrate due to targeted religious violence. Accusing the state government of inaction, the opposition claims escalating tensions and attacks have driven families from their homes, raising fears of a broader communal conflict.

Murshidabad Crisis:Three people have died in the violence that broke out during a protest against the new Waqf law in Murshidabad district of West Bengal. Police have arrested hundreds of people who spread violence. Bengal is engulfed in the fire of violence in protest against the Waqf law. CM Mamata has urged people to remain calm and not get provoked. This BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari has attacked the Mamata government.'
The officer posted on social media and wrote that due to fear of fundamentalists, more than 400 Hindus from Dhuliyan in Murshidabad were forced to cross the river and take shelter in Lalpur High School, Devnapur-Sovapur GP, Baisanbanagar, Malda. This is the real religious persecution in Bengal.
He further wrote that TMC's politics of appeasement has encouraged radical elements. Hindus are being hunted down, our people are running away to save their lives on their own land! The state government should be ashamed for allowing law and order to deteriorate like this.
Suvendu Adhikari's demand from the government
Suvendu Adhikari demanded that I urge the central paramilitary forces deployed in the district, the state police and the district administration to ensure the safe return of these displaced Hindus and save their lives from this jihadi terror. Bengal is burning. The social fabric has been broken. Enough is enough.

What was the commotion about?
Protests are being seen in many parts of the country regarding the new Waqf law. On Friday, violence broke out in Malda, Murshidabad, South 24 Parganas and Hooghly districts. So far 3 people have lost their lives in this violence. Heavy police force has been deployed in the entire area. Murshidabad is a district bordering Bangladesh. This is the reason why protests are being seen more here than in other places.
