Mumbai court exposes chilling plot to kill Salman Khan, denies bail to shooter involved in attack

New Delhi: A Mumbai court has ruled that the shooting outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan's Bandra residence in April 2023 was a premeditated attempt to kill him. One of the accused, Vicky Gupta, was denied bail by a special MCOCA judge, who cited evidence linking the attack to Anmol Bishnoi, the younger brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.

The court order highlighted that on April 14, Gupta, along with his associate Sagar Pal, fired shots at Khan's Galaxy Apartments residence. The attack was orchestrated under Anmol Bishnoi's direction, according to the judge. The court noted that the shots were aimed at the first floor of Khan's home, where he frequently greets fans, indicating a deliberate attempt to harm him.

The court further elaborated on the involvement of Anmol Bishnoi, who allegedly instigated the attack. Bishnoi, younger brother of Lawrence Bishnoi, is said to be involved in the gang's criminal operations. Both brothers have a history of organized crimes, with threats made against Salman Khan being linked to a revenge plan for the 1998 blackbuck poaching case.
