Mother's timely call averts tragedy at Rameshwaram Cafe; Eyewitness describes moments before blast
Eyewitnesses to the Rameshwaram Cafe Blast have described the scene. The person from Patna has said that he has seen it with his eyes. Engineer Alankrit said that he survived because of his mother.
10 people have been injured in the famous Rameshwaram Cafe blast in Bengaluru. The person who witnessed this incident said that the scene was horrifying. People's clothes were torn, and blood was coming out of their noses and ears. There was smoke everywhere. Patna engineer Kumar Alankrit was also present there at the time of the blast in the cafe. It was he who shared the first video of the blast.
Giving information about this incident, Alankrit says, I was saved because of my mother's call. He told me that I was standing at the counter to take my order, when my mother called. I went 10–15 metres away from the food counter and started talking. After a few seconds, there was a loud explosion, and smoke spread everywhere. Describing the horror of this blast, Alankrit said that he had never seen such a horrifying scene before.
More than 15 people were injured
Alankrit had gone for lunch at the Whitefield branch of Rameshwaram Cafe. 24 year old Alankrit is a software engineer in Bengaluru. Alankrit claims that more than 15 people were injured in the blast. He also saw many people burnt and blood coming out of their ears.
Was waiting for dosa after idli
Alankrit told that I always go to eat at Rameshwaram Cafe. Yesterday also I ordered one idli and one dosa. After eating idli, I was standing at the dosa counter when I got a call from my mother. There was a lot of noise inside the cafe, so I came out. I was talking to my mother when suddenly I heard a loud bang from behind. There was a stampede there, people were shouting. He said that people's clothes were torn. One person was bleeding from his head. Two 80 year old women were bleeding.
Saved because of mother
Alankrit said that today I was saved because of my mother. If his call had not come, I too would have become a victim of this blast. That's why we say, mother is like God. In this regard, a case has been registered at HAL Police Station under Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act 1967 and Explosive Substances Act.
