A Heart-Wrenching Search

On January 16, 2025, Elvin Dsouza left his home in Sarjapur around 2:30 PM to ride his bicycle. When he failed to return by evening, his mother, Linet Dsouza, filed a missing person report at approximately 6:30 PM. The local police promptly launched an extensive search operation that continued late into the night, enlisting the help of community members who were equally concerned for the young boy's safety.

The Tragic Discovery

The following morning, police received a crucial tip from a security guard who had seen Elvin cycling toward Muttanahalli pond. Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered Elvin's bicycle partially submerged in the water and his clothing on the shore. Tragically, two men entered the pond and recovered Elvin's body, which showed no external injuries but did have froth around his mouth—a common sign of drowning. Investigators found no evidence of foul play or struggle.

Elvin's death has sent shockwaves through the community, with many residents expressing their sorrow and disbelief over the incident. His parents, Denis and Linet Dsouza, are devastated by the loss of their son, who was described as a bright and loving child.
