14 local terrorists active in Kashmir Valley, security agencies release list
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday strongly denounced the terror attack in Pahalgam, calling it a despicable and cowardly act and those responsible for it will not be spared. They will be brought to justice soon.
Following the terror strike in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam on April 22, there is outrage across the nation. During the strike, 26 individuals lost their lives and several were injured. The majority of those killed were tourists who had traveled to visit. The strike occurred in what individuals refer to as 'mini Switzerland' Bassern. This region is a highly popular tourist destination in the southern region of Kashmir.Following the incident, Home Minister Amit Shah personally arrived in Kashmir and met army and police commanders.
14 local terrorists operating in Kashmir Valley
Now following this attack, the list of local terrorists operating within the valley has been made public. As per this, there are a total of 14 local terrorists operational in Kashmir.
- 1 Lashkar terrorist in Sopore
- 1 Jaish terrorist who was eliminated in Awantipora
- 2-2 terrorists of Lashkar and Jaish operating in Pulwama
- 1 Hizbul-based attack, 4 Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists killed in Shopian
- Two Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists killed in Anantnag
- 1 Lashkar terrorist killed in Kulgam
Now the speedy operation has been initiated against these terrorists. Security forces are keeping an eye on them and they are likely to be arrested or encountered anytime soon.
Sketches of attackers released
Following the attack, drawings of the attackers' faces have been made with the assistance of eyewitnesses. A reward of Rs 20 lakh on each of these three terrorists has been announced.
