A warrior King who redefined Governance

Born on February 19, 1630, at Shivneri Fort in Pune, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj played a pivotal role in challenging Mughal rule and establishing the Maratha Empire. His military strategies, naval expansion, and fort-based defense system revolutionized warfare in India.

In 1674, after defeating multiple adversaries, Shivaji Maharaj was crowned as Chhatrapati at Raigad Fort, laying the foundation for an independent and well-organized administration.
