Indian expatriates in the UK gave a befitting reply to Pakistani propaganda and protests in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack. A large number of Indian community and expatriate representatives reached the Indian High Commission in London to counter the Pakistani propaganda. Chanting Bharat Mata Ki Jai and Vande Mataram and waving the Indian tricolour, the number of pro-India protesters far outnumbered the small group of British Pakistanis present in front of India House on Sunday evening.

During this time, Metropolitan Police was also present so that no confrontation could arise between the two sides. Later, British Indian groups lit candles at Piccadilly Circus to remember the victims of the 22 April terrorist attack. 26 people lost their lives in this attack. After this incident, Pakistan has become furious due to India's strict measures and tension has increased between India and Pakistan.

"All eyes are on Pahalgam"
Similar "All eyes on Pahalgam" protests have been organised by Indian diaspora groups in various parts of the UK, including Manchester, Edinburgh in Scotland and Belfast in Northern Ireland. The protests have been mobilised by Indian diaspora groups condemning Pakistan's support to terror groups. Community group Insight UK said it aims to present a united front against terrorism.

A befitting reply to Pakistanis
Sunday's protest comes after Indian expatriate organisations held a protest outside the Pakistan High Commission in the UK capital on Friday. The Indian community protested in response to the British Pakistanis. A Pakistani official was caught on camera gesturing and threatening to slit throats towards Indian protesters outside the building in a video that went viral on social media.
