India Hits Back: 16 Pakistani YouTube Channels Blocked for Inciting Tensions
Intro 1: In a decisive response to escalating tensions following the Pahalgam terror attack, India has banned 16 Pakistani YouTube channels, including prominent outlets like Dawn News, Samaa TV, ARY News, and Geo News, for spreading provocative and communally sensitive content.

India has taken further action against Pakistan and has decided to block YouTube channels. It is reported that action has been taken against running sensitive content against India. However, this is not the first time that India has taken this step. Earlier in January also, more than 30 channels were blocked. The special thing is that this decision has been taken at a time when the relations between the two countries have become tense after the Pahalgam terrorist attack.
On the recommendation of the Union Home Ministry, the government has decided to block 16 YouTube channels of Pakistan. Action has been taken on these channels for running communally sensitive content and misinformation against India. The special thing is that most of these channels are very popular on social media platforms and their combined number of subscribers is more than 63 million.
Apart from these, users have also blocked the YouTube channels of Arzoo Kazmi and former Pakistani cricketer and commentator Shoaib Akhtar in India.
These channels were shut down
Dawn News, Irshad Bhatti, Samaa TV, ARV News, Bol News, Raftar, The Pakistan Reference, Geo News, Samaa Sports, GNN, Uzair Cricket , Umar Cheem Exclusive, Asma Shirazi, Muneeb Farooq, Suno News HD and Raji Nama channels have been blocked in India. In terms of subscribers, the largest channel among them is Geo News, which has 18.1 million.
