India-France AI summit: PM Modi to join Macron in Paris on february 10

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit France on February 10-11 to co-chair the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Action Summit with President Emmanuel Macron.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit France from February 10 to 11, 2025, to co-chair the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Action Summit alongside French President Emmanuel Macron. The summit, set to take place at the Grand Palais in Paris, aims to foster international dialogue on AI, focusing on themes such as public interest, the future of work, innovation and culture, trust in AI, and global AI governance. 

Artificial Intelligence Summit

The event will convene heads of state and government, leaders of international organizations, CEOs from large and small companies, representatives from academia, NGOs, artists, and members of civil society. Notably, the summit will address critical issues related to misinformation and the misuse of AI technologies.

 Regulating AI technologies

President Macron has emphasized the importance of AI as a global conversation, highlighting the roles of countries such as the US, China, India, and Gulf nations in developing and regulating AI technologies. He stated, "The US, China, and major emerging countries such as India have a key role to play, as well as the Gulf." 

Indo-French relations

This visit underscores the strengthening of Indo-French relations and India's commitment to engaging in global discussions on AI and its governance.The summit aims to foster international dialogue on AI, focusing on innovation, talent, and positioning France and Europe at the center of the global AI landscape.
