Hyderabad: In a chilling turn of events, P Venkata Madhavi, a 35-year-old woman reported missing in Hyderabad, was allegedly murdered by her husband, Gurumurthy. After an argument on January 16, Madhavi disappeared, leading her mother to file a police complaint two days later. The investigation took a dark turn when Gurumurthy confessed to the crime, detailing gruesome acts of dismemberment and disposal of her remains.

Details of the Gruesome Crime

Gurumurthy, a 45-year-old ex-serviceman, reportedly confessed to killing Madhavi during a heated dispute over her desire to visit her hometown for the Sankranti festival. Following the altercation, he is accused of dismembering her body in their bathroom and cooking the remains in a pressure cooker. The shocking confession revealed that he crushed the bones and boiled them before disposing of the remains in Jillellaguda lake.

Police Investigation Underway

Authorities are currently verifying Gurumurthy's claims, but as of now, no body parts have been recovered. Ch Praveen Kumar, Deputy Commissioner of Police, stated that the investigation is ongoing as they piece together evidence from the crime scene. Gurumurthy initially reported his wife missing alongside his in-laws but later became the prime suspect.
