High- tension at LoC: Indian forces eliminate 7 Pakistan- based infiltrators in J-K

J&K: As of now, there are no recent reports confirming an infiltration attempt along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir resulting in the elimination of seven Pakistani infiltrators, including three Pakistani Army regulars. The most recent significant incident occurred on August 21, 2023, when the Indian Army foiled an infiltration bid near the LoC in Poonch district, killing two terrorists and recovering arms, ammunition, and Pakistan-origin medicines.
Indian army thwarted an infiltration
In another incident on July 11, 2023, the Indian Army thwarted an infiltration attempt along the LoC in Rajouri district, resulting in the death of one terrorist, while two others were injured but managed to escape. The operation led to the recovery of war-like stores, including an AK-47 rifle, ammunition, grenades, and communication equipment. These incidents highlight the ongoing challenges and security concerns along the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir. The Indian Army continues to maintain heightened vigilance to prevent such infiltration attempts.
Poonch
In a major breakthrough for security forces in Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian Army foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch's Krishna Ghati sector. Seven Pakistani infiltrators were reportedly neutralised by the Indian Army.Among the seven infiltrators who were killed along the LoC on the intervening night of February 4 and 5, two to three were Pakistani Army personnel, reported India Today citing sources.However, there is no official confirmation from the Indian Army. As per the report, the Army ambushed Pakistan's Border Action Team (BAT). The terrorists killed by the Indian forces are likely to be the members of the Al-Badr terrorist group.
