New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has announced its fourth list of candidates for the Haryana Assembly elections, set for October 5. This latest list includes 21 new candidates, marking a significant step in the party’s campaign preparations as the election date nears.

Prominent candidates in this list include Kavita Dalal, who will run from Julana against Congress’s Vinesh Phogat and BJP’s Yogesh Bairagi. Other key figures include Raj Kaur Gill, representing Ambala Cantonment; Sunil Bindal, contesting from Karnal; and Nishant Anand, who will run in Gurugram.

This announcement follows a previous list of 20 candidates released earlier. The AAP had previously encountered a challenge when negotiations for a seat-sharing agreement with Congress fell through, prompting the party to proceed with independent candidacies. To date, the AAP has announced a total of 61 candidates for the Haryana Assembly elections.

The deadline for filing nominations is September 12, just before the election day on October 5. The Haryana Assembly comprises 90 seats, and the elections will determine the new government. Historically, the AAP has had mixed results in Haryana. In the 2019 elections, despite contesting 46 seats, the party did not secure any victories. The AAP had previously allied with Congress for the Delhi Lok Sabha elections but ran separately in Punjab.
