The parents of Muskan Rastogi, who has been arrested on suspicion of killing merchant navy officer Saurabh Rajput along with her boyfriend, want Muskan to be hanged and said they were with his family in their battle for justice. As per police, Saurabh Rajput, an employee of an American firm, had returned home on his six-year-old daughter's birthday last month.
Horrific killing was revealed after Saurabh's family filed a complaint
On March 4, his wife Muskan and her boyfriend Sahil Shukla stabbed him to death, dismembered the body into 15 pieces and packed them in cement in a plastic drum. After murdering him, Muskan and Sahil went to the hills and clicked photos using Saurabh's phone to make people believe that they were alive. The horrific killing was revealed after Saurabh's family filed a complaint with the police as they were unable to reach him on the phone and Muskan and Sahil were interrogated.

He owned up to the crime and was picked up. A cement-filled drum was drilled and Saurabh's body parts were found and sent for post-mortem. Spoken to Muskan's parents Pramod Kumar Rastogi and Kavita Rastogi at their Meerut residence, the duo made no efforts to come to their daughter's defense. In fact, he averred that he should be given the most severe punishment for having done this to Saurabh, who "loved him blindly."
The daughter was handed over to the police
Muskan had visited her parents after returning from the mountains a day before. Muskan's mother, Kavita Rastogi, said, "He admitted that he murdered Saurabh and we took him to the police station straight away. He told us, 'Mummy, we murdered Saurabh'," he said, further stating that Saurabh was "blind in love" with a smile. "Our daughter was the only issue. He took her away from her family. And now he has done it again," Rastogi explained, reaffirming his solidarity with Saurabh's family.

"That's why we had him arrested. They must be given justice. He (Saurabh) risked everything, leaving his parents, their crores worth of property. And he got killed. When they were asked what they wanted done to their daughter as punishment, the couple responded between tears in their eyes, "She must be hanged. He has forfeited his right to live."
