Telangana News: A horrifying murder case unfolds in Hyderabad as authorities struggle to recover any remains after an ex-serviceman allegedly confessed to killing his wife and disposing of her body parts in various locations.

Telangana News: The murder investigation of a 35-year-old woman from Hyderabad has taken a disturbing turn as authorities struggle to recover any remains after her husband allegedly killed her and disposed of her body in a gruesome manner. The case has garnered significant media attention due to the shocking details surrounding the crime.
Investigation Stalled by Lack of Evidence
Despite the chilling confession from Gurumurthy, a retired Army soldier, the police have yet to locate any body parts of his wife, P Venkata Madhavi. Reports indicate that Gurumurthy claimed he murdered his wife during a heated argument, subsequently dismembering her body and boiling the parts in a pressure cooker before scattering them in various locations, including a lake in Jillelaguda on the outskirts of Hyderabad.
"We cannot go by mere claims. We are collecting all technical and scientific pieces of evidence. The case is under investigation," stated G Sudheer Babu, Commissioner of Police, as he emphasized the need for corroboration through forensic evidence.
Confession and Circumstantial Evidence
Gurumurthy's confession has raised numerous questions about the nature of the crime. During police questioning, he detailed how he struck Madhavi against a wall, leading to her death. Following this, he allegedly used kitchen knives to dismember her body and boiled the remains for several hours to eliminate any signs of foul play. The police have recovered several items from his residence, including a pressure cooker, knives, and a water heater, which may serve as crucial evidence in the ongoing investigation.
Ongoing Search for Body Parts
Authorities are actively investigating the claims made by Gurumurthy but face challenges due to the absence of physical evidence. "As of now, we don’t have any reasons to believe it was a premeditated crime. It seems like the result of a petty quarrel," noted Deputy Commissioner of Police Ch Praveen Kumar. The investigation continues as police work to piece together the events leading up to Madhavi's disappearance.
Community Shocked by Brutality
The local community has been left in shock following these revelations. Neighbors and family members expressed disbelief over the horrific nature of the crime committed by someone who was once seen as a protector. The case highlights not only personal tragedy but also raises broader concerns about domestic violence and its often hidden consequences.
