The incident occurred around midday when a cooking gas cylinder exploded in one of the tents at the Mahakumbh site. The fire rapidly spread to nearby tents, engulfing approximately 20 to 25 structures. Fortunately, swift action by fire tenders helped contain the blaze before it could escalate further.
