The Mumbai Crime Branch has officially initiated extradition proceedings for Anmol Bishnoi, the brother of notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who is wanted in connection with a firing incident outside actor Salman Khan’s residence and numerous other cases across India.

Sources within the Mumbai Police confirm that U.S. authorities have verified Anmol Bishnoi’s presence in their country. The Crime Branch recently updated the Mumbai Sessions Court regarding the case and is set to forward the request to the Central Government for further processing. Anmol Bishnoi is also subject to a Red Corner Notice (RCN) to assist in his overseas location and arrest.

Extensive Criminal Record

Anmol Bishnoi has over 17 criminal cases registered against him in India, with charges involving his brother Lawrence Bishnoi and associate Goldie Brar. Besides the Salman Khan firing case, he has been implicated in other high-profile incidents. Last week, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) listed Bishnoi as one of its most-wanted and announced a reward of ₹10 lakh for information leading to his arrest.

In addition to the Salman Khan case, Bishnoi is allegedly connected to the Sidhu Moosewala murder, as police believe he supplied imported firearms used in the incident. Officials have also linked him to the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique on October 12, claiming Bishnoi provided the Turkey-made Tisas pistol and Glock used in the killing. Investigators revealed that Bishnoi communicated with suspects in Siddique’s murder, reportedly using Snapchat while operating from Canada and the U.S.

Ongoing Investigation

The murder of Baba Siddique, shot by three assailants during Dussehra, has led to the arrest of 10 individuals, including two shooters and an arms supplier. Police believe Bishnoi maintained direct communication with the suspects and are working diligently to complete the extradition process to ensure justice is served.
