Ek hai toh safe hai: PM Modi rallies Maharashtra, warns of Congress over 'divide and rule’ strategy
Maharashtra News: Continuing his criticism, PM Modi alleged that states governed by Congress serve as ATMs for the party’s elite. He specifically pointed to Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh, and Telangana, describing them as sources of monetary support for Congress’s so-called “royal family.”
Maharashtra News: In a rally held in Akola on Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched strong criticism against Congress and its allies, as he addressed a gathering as part of the BJP’s campaign for the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections. Modi accused Congress of disregarding the Constitution upheld by Baba Saheb Ambedkar, and claimed that the party has historically tried to create divisions among communities to weaken the nation.
“Congress knows well that the weaker our country becomes, the stronger they get. 'When Congress strengthens, the country is forced to weaken.' They have always sown divisions among castes. They do not want unity among communities. This has allowed Congress to deprive Scheduled Castes of their rights. You must stay vigilant. Remember, 'Ek hai toh safe hai' (We are safe if we are united),” the Prime Minister stated.
Congress-Run States Serve as “ATMs”
Continuing his criticism, PM Modi alleged that states governed by Congress serve as ATMs for the party’s elite. He specifically pointed to Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh, and Telangana, describing them as sources of monetary support for Congress’s so-called “royal family.” He claimed that Maharashtra’s liquor industry alone lost ₹700 crore to Congress operations during previous elections. “This is just a glimpse of the loot that could happen if they win,” Modi asserted.
Housing Projects for the Poor
Turning to BJP’s achievements, PM Modi emphasized his government’s housing initiatives, underscoring that his administration has delivered 4 crore homes for underprivileged families in the past two terms. “In the last two terms, my government has successfully delivered housing for the poor, and we are now beginning to build 3 crore more houses,” he said. Modi also encouraged the crowd to send him the details of families still living in temporary shelters, pledging to fulfill promises of permanent housing.
Maharashtra’s Continued Support for BJP
PM Modi praised the people of Maharashtra for their consistent support from 2014 to 2024, attributing it to their patriotism, political insight, and vision for a stronger nation. “For ten years, Maharashtra has stood by the BJP with unwavering trust. This trust is a result of the people’s political wisdom and foresight,” Modi stated.
November 9 as a “Historic Day”
PM Modi highlighted November 9 as a significant day, recalling that it marks the anniversary of the 2019 Supreme Court verdict on the Ram Mandir. “This date is etched in memory not only for the verdict but also for the remarkable sensitivity and unity shown across communities, reflecting the ‘Nation First’ spirit,” he noted.
Prime Minister Modi’s rally signals the BJP’s commitment to the Mahayuti alliance and its candidates across key districts. Maharashtra will vote in a single phase on November 20, with results set to be announced on November 23.
