Congress preparing to eliminate reservations: Mayawati criticizes RaGa for failing underprivileged communities

Mayawati further asserted that the Congress has historically harbored an anti-reservation stance, pointing to the resignation of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar as Law Minister as proof of their failure to implement reservation quotas.

New Delhi: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati launched a sharp attack on the Congress, accusing the party of using the caste-based census issue to create a political drama and regain power. In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), Mayawati criticized the Congress for not implementing OBC reservations or conducting a caste-based census during their long tenure in power.

“Despite ruling the country for decades, the Congress never implemented OBC reservations or carried out a caste-based census. Now, they’re trying to regain power under the guise of these issues. Beware of their theatrics; they will never implement a caste-based census,” Mayawati stated in her post.

Mayawati warns against Rahul Gandhi!

Mayawati also warned people to be cautious of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, referencing his remarks made during a discussion at Georgetown University. Gandhi reportedly stated that reservations should be scrapped once India becomes a "fair place," a comment Mayawati claimed reflects the Congress’s long-standing opposition to reservations for marginalized communities.

“Rahul Gandhi’s statement that reservations would end in a ‘fair India’ reveals Congress’s agenda. They have been plotting to end reservations for SCs, STs, and OBCs for years,” she remarked. Mayawati further asserted that the Congress has historically harbored an anti-reservation stance, pointing to the resignation of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar as Law Minister as proof of their failure to implement reservation quotas. She emphasized the need for reservations to continue until caste discrimination is fully eradicated.
