CM Fadnavis promises tough measures against rising crimes in Pune
Chief Minister Fadnavis stated that juveniles make up 70% of Koyta gang participants while under drug influence. The state authorities will focus their drug enforcement efforts on those who handle and control teenagers.

Devendra Fadnavis who serves as chief minister disclosed to the Legislative Assembly that 70% of those arrested for Koyta (scythe) gang-related crimes are juveniles because they desire to be called 'dada' and seek excitement through criminal activities. The CM accepted drugs serve to entice juvenile offenders into criminal conduct while promising prosecution of those who manipulate them for this purpose.
Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita
The government official stated that investigators have filed nine criminal cases against the Koyta gang attackers in both Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad with 19 different suspects. The number of juvenile offenders involved in these crimes stands at 13 according to him while no established criminal group exists to execute these actions. The majority of defendants who face charges belong to the age group of 15-16 however there are no indications of organized criminal activity. Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita contains provisions to charge handlers responsible for juvenile offenders. According to him the handlers and leaders who make these criminal decisions will receive the status of principal suspect.
Children under drug influence
According to Hadapsar MLA Chetan Tupe of NCP, organizers keep children under drug influence to perform criminal tasks. The police interception yielded nearly ₹1.5 crore worth of mephedrone sulfate (termine) injection products. Drugs similar to those mentioned are distributed by the Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad Paan shops. Police investigations reveal Nigerian people participate in these criminal operations. Targeting drug distribution
Fadnavis explained that drug peddling belongs to the standard practices of juvenile offender handlers while the state police launched a major operation targeting drug distribution. The state government has confiscated massive drug quantities throughout the state throughout the previous three years. The state authorities initiated actions against Pan shops together with courier services because of their roles in drug distribution. The government has terminated employment of seven police staff who engaged in drug trafficking activities and distribution of narcotics substances he declared.
Institutional asset liquidation
The state government of Maharashtra decided to create a financial investigation unit dedicated to investigating Ponzi schemes and unrealistic investment schemes for protecting investors from fraud. Through the Maharashtra Protection of Investors (In financial establishments) Act the government allows investors' money recovery through institutional asset liquidation. Future Ponzi schemes will be prevented by the FIU which will investigate and track potential cheating operations he stated.
