Chilling confession! Why THIS man murdered his own family on New Year's Eve

Delhi: In a tragic incident in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, five members of a family were found dead at Hotel Sharanjit on New Year's Eve. The gruesome killings were allegedly carried out by a member of the family, 24-year-old Arshad, who has since been arrested by the police. The motive behind the killings appears to be a family discord, as confessed by the accused during initial interrogation.

The victims included Arshad's mother and his four sisters, aged 9, 16, 18, and 19. The youngest, Aaliya, and her sisters Alshiya, Aksa, and Rehmeen, were brutally killed alongside their mother. Senior police officials arrived promptly at the crime scene in Thana Naka, where the shocking incident took place. Evidence was collected, and investigations are ongoing to uncover further details.

A Family Trip Turned Fatal

According to preliminary reports, Arshad, a Kuberpur resident of Agra, had left for Lucknow along with his family on Tuesday night. The family had checked into Hotel Sharanjit, where the gruesome murders took place later. The motive of the crime is said to be related to some family disputes, though the reasons are still not known.

Police Statement on the Incident

DCP Ravina Tyagi speaking about the case, "Five people's bodies were found in a room in Hotel Sharanjit. The 24-year-old Arshad of Agra, accused of this murder, confessed during preliminary questioning. He gave a reason that he was into this for the murders of a family dispute. More interrogation is still on for other details to be uncovered."
