Chhattisgarh: Police engage Naxalites in gunfire at major encounter, three to four casualties reported

Chattisgarh News: A fierce encounter between police and Naxalites has erupted in the Bhamaragadh tehsil of Gadchiroli district, which borders Chhattisgarh. Early reports indicate that three to four Naxal militants may have been killed during the firefight.

Injuries among police personnel

According to initial information, one or two police officers have sustained injuries in the clash, which took place in the Kopri jungle area of Bhamaragadh tehsil. The operation was launched based on intelligence regarding the presence of Naxalites in the region.
