The incident escalated as onlookers, along with the victim herself, apprehended and assaulted the accused before handing him over to the police. Theft Attempt in Busy Market Turns Violent

According to local reports, the alleged theft occurred in a crowded section of Begumpul, under the jurisdiction of Sadar Bazaar Police Station. After reportedly grabbing the woman’s phone, Armaan attempted to flee the scene but was quickly stopped by bystanders. Refusing to let the accused get away, the woman joined the gathering crowd, which took swift action against the thief.

Viral Video Shows Crowd’s Response

Video footage of the event reveals Armaan pleading with the woman and the surrounding crowd, asking them to stop hitting him. Despite his apologies, the woman continued to confront him, sometimes grabbing his hair and slapping him in the face. Others in the crowd restrained him as several individuals delivered additional blows. In the video, Armaan can be heard saying, “Madam, how much will you beat me… I made a mistake.” His appeals for leniency went unheeded as the crowd, intent on delivering justice, continued the assault.
