UP News: During Deepotsav 2024, Ayodhya set two Guinness World Records, lighting over 2.5 million oil lamps along the Saryu River. The festival also set a record for the largest group diya rotation, symbolizing unity and devotion.

UP CM Yogi Adityanath Leads Celebrations

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath led the festivities, marking Ayodhya’s resurgence as a spiritual hub, presenting Guinness certificates, and launching a tourism app to enhance visitor experience. The Saryu Ghat was transformed with laser lights, drone shows, and fireworks, while a vibrant sound and light performance depicted the life of Lord Ram, captivating audiences. The festival showcased 18 lively tableaux representing Lord Ram’s journey and his return from exile, featuring a symbolic chariot procession with artists portraying Ram, Sita, and Lakshman.

CM Adityanath highlighted the revival of cultural heritage, with Ayodhya and Kashi exemplifying the resurgence of Sanatan Dharma and the state’s dedication to cultural preservation. The launch of a tourism app and a book on Ayodhya’s transformation added modern touches to the festival, supporting Ayodhya’s growing role as a global spiritual destination.
