US deports 104 Indians in shackles
On February 5, a US military aircraft carrying 104 undocumented Indian immigrants landed in Amritsar, marking the first mass deportation under the Trump administration’s crackdown on illegal immigrants.
Shocking claims: Deportees alleged they were handcuffed and leg-cuffed throughout the journey and were only unshackled after landing.
The Indian government has formally raised concerns with Washington, stating that such treatment could have been avoided.
Athawale condemns 'Inhumane' treatment
Speaking at a press conference, Athawale, Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, stated that it was wrong to deport them in shackles. The US should have avoided such treatment."
The issue will be discussed during PM Modi’s visit to the US next week".

Defence sector: ₹6 lakh crore allocated.
Railways: ₹2.52 lakh crore earmarked.

Tax relief: Income up to ₹12 lakh is now tax-free, benefiting the middle class.
