In a heartbreaking double tragedy at Haryana's Ashoka University, two students died in separate incidents, sending shockwaves across the campus. A second-year BA Political Science student, Dhruv Jyoti Sahu from Bengaluru, allegedly ended his life by jumping from the 10th floor of his hostel on Thursday night. Just hours later, another student, Vighnesh Guda Sahu from Telangana, was found dead under mysterious circumstances outside the university’s main gate.

According to police reports, Dhruv fell onto the second floor balcony of the hostel around 10 PM. He was rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. Authorities recovered a suicide note from his room, in which he stated that no one was responsible for his death. Fellow students, speaking anonymously, claimed Dhruv had been mentally distressed for some time and had sought medical help.
Meanwhile, in another shocking turn of events, 19-year-old Vighnesh left the campus past midnight to buy food from a nearby shop but suddenly collapsed near a tea stall. Eyewitnesses, including other students, immediately called for an ambulance, but he was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Authorities probe both cases as campus reels in shock
The Rai police have launched investigations into both deaths, and forensic teams have been deployed to examine the circumstances surrounding these incidents. The university issued a statement expressing deep sorrow and assured full cooperation with the authorities.
