Himachal Pradesh: Drama unfolded in Himachal Pradesh's Kullu district on Sunday after a huge tree, which was torn out of the ground by a storm and landslide, fell on parked cars close to the Gurudwara Manikaran Sahib, killing six and injuring three others.

Rescue efforts underway
The tree from a mountain across from the gurudwara collapsed after heavy rain and a landslide, leaving destruction in its wake. The injured have been transferred to Jari Hospital for treatment, the officials said. Kullu Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Vikas Shukla, who was at the site coordinating rescue and relief work, said rescue teams, including medical staff, police, and revenue officials, are at the site and conducted the relief work.
Condolences and support
Condoling the tragedy, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu instructed district officials to provide all necessary help to the victims and their families. Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur also expressed his condolences. Rescue efforts continued late into the night as teams struggled to clear the rubble and evaluate the damage.
