Prime Minister Modi pointed to the successful Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj as a reflection of India's rising spirit and togetherness. He underlined the joint efforts that turned the event into a global spectacle, demonstrating the country's strength and cultural heritage. The prime minister stated on Tuesday that the successful organization of Mahakumbh in Prayagraj was a reflection of rising India's spirit. Modi spoke about Mahakumbh in the Lok Sabha during the current Budget session of Parliament.

I am here to talk about Prayagraj's Maha Kumbh

"I bow to crores of countrymen who helped the success of Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj," Modi stated, further adding that Prayagraj Maha Kumbh is a symbol of emerging India. "I am here to talk about Prayagraj's Maha Kumbh. I congratulate crores of countrymen due to whom the Maha Kumbh could be held successfully. There were many people who helped in the success of the Maha Kumbh. I thank the people of India, UP and Prayagraj."

Numerous varieties of 'Amrit'

The Mahakumbh 2025, the latest edition of the Kumbh Mela, a Hindu festival of pilgrimage that was a complete orbital revolution of Jupiter around the Sun, was celebrated between January 13 and February 26, 2025, at the Triveni Sangam of Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. The event was promoted as world's largest gathering with over 660 million dipping into the river, as per figures released by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath-government of UP. "Numerous varieties of 'Amrit' have been born out of the Mahakumbh. The 'Amrit' of unity is its holiest offering.

Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat

The Mahakumbh has been a festival where individuals from all corners of the nation have converged. Putting aside their egos, they have come together in the spirit of 'Vayam' not 'I,' but 'We' in Prayagraj. Individuals from other states have become a part of the holy Triveni. When millions from various parts of the country strengthen the feeling of nationality, the unity of the nation increases. When individuals of different languages sing 'Har Har Gange' on the Sangam's banks, it symbolizes the spirit of 'Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat' and increases the feeling of oneness.

Mahakumbh has inspired us in many ways

" I highlighted the significance of 'Sabka Sath Sab ka Vikas' from the Red Fort. The whole world has seen India's grandeur in the shape of Maha Kumbh. We experience a national awakening in the Maha Kumbh, which will inspire new heights of achievements. This also provided a fitting response to those questioning our might."

Draw inspiration from the Kumbh

"The Mahakumbh has inspired us in many ways. Our nation has many small and large rivers, and there are many among them that are facing crises." Draw inspiration from the Kumbh and we need to propagate the river festival tradition further. We ought to consider doing that, and this will lead the present generation to realize why water is necessary. This will bolster the fight to clean up and conserve our rivers
