'Good wishes to 'Poor Man'...: DK Shivakumar unfazed by BJP's 'Black Flags' in Chennai
Karnataka: Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar stated that he accepted the black flags waved at him by the BJP when he arrived in Chennai on Saturday.

Karnataka: Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar was in Chennai at the invitation of DMK chief and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin as a guest to attend a meeting to debate the consequences of delimitation. Certain state governments, particularly the southern states, have communicated their fears that they would lose their grip if the delimitation took place according to the population.
BJP black flags are welcome
Terming the BJP Tamil Nadu president K Annamalai a "poor man", Shivakumar stated that he had served Karnataka in his role as an IPS officer. "All these BJP black flags are welcome. I was never scared when they booked me to Tihar Jail (in New Delhi)," Shivakumar said to journalists in reply to a question in Chennai.
Shivakumar was arrested and put in jail
Shivakumar was arrested and put in jail together with others on suspected offenses against the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). The case of money laundering against him was later quashed by the Supreme Court. "This officer (Annamalai), poor man, is my state man. He has worked for us. He understands our strength. Let him perform his duty. Wish him all the best," said the Deputy CM to the media.
The BJP opposed the meet organized by Stalin
According to the post in response, Annamalai thanked Shivakumar for praying "this poor man". "Yes, I worked hard serving Karnataka's people as a Police Officer. Thanks for the worthy mention Thiru @DKShivakumar avare," the BJP TN chief tweeted on 'X'.
