What's Justin Trudeau's 'one regret', That stays with him as he steps down
Ottawa: Justin Trudeau is quitting as prime minister of Canada because of internal problems and because there was a change in the elections.
Ottawa: Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will go down in history as the first among the G7 leaders who will step out of the chair after having stayed there for nearly nine years in power. Having turned 53, he concluded that this period was his biggest crossroads while in power where he presented before him his inadequacy in continuing to become the best hope for the forthcoming election because of continuous internal tussles of his party fractions.
The Reason Behind His Decision
He said that this was a "real choice" for the Canadians to come to power in the next elections. Thinking that he was no longer strong enough to help the nation pass through the hard times, the public discontent against the growing prices, the skyrocketing interest, and the real estate meltdown reaching its breaking points, he admitted that this kind of intra-party war will ruin his chances of carrying forward his attentiveness towards the good of the country.
The Final Address of Trudeau
As Justin Trudeau was saying goodbye to the Liberal caucus, he wished that, apart from having the votes of the Canadian people for their ballot, he had at least given Canadians one more chance-to have given voters the choice to easily allow one or even a third of choices so as not to have one's votes wasted or casted against them.
A Changing of the Tide
In Trudeau's view, the travails that culminated in his loss as a head of state involved internal squabbling overshadowing his ability to hold the country together. He agreed to quit upon the election of a new party leader in an open competition since he realizes the time to effect change has arrived.
